Steven M. Dickson, J.D. served the chiropractic profession for
many years as KCA Legal Counsel. He and Dr. Stanley Heard (Arkansas)
were both tragically killed in a private airplane crash on September 10,
1993. They were returning home from Washington, D.C. after
meeting with senior White House officials in regard to chiropractic coverage
under President Clinton's health care reform bill.
To forever honor Steve's lifetime of dedicated service to the chiropractic
profession, the KCA in October, 1993 named the meeting room at the KCA office
THE STEVEN M. DICKSON CONFERENCE CENTER.
In 1994, the National Association of Chiropractic Attorneys honored Steve
by permanently naming its highest award the "STEVEN M. DICKSON ATTORNEY OF
THE YEAR AWARD."
