A Management of Chronic Pain conference is being presented November 14-15, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita, Kans. The seminar is being presented by the Kansas Partnership for Pain Management, a collaboration between the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the Kansas Medical Mutual Insurance Company (KaMMCO) and University of Kansas Medical Center.

The Partnership’s goal is to present a comprehensive, patient-centered, multi-faceted, multi-tiered and multi-year educational initiative to address chronic pain management and the management of prescription pain medications. Through cases, demonstrations and dramatizations, the inaugural conference aims to provide practical, relevant and implementable approaches to chronic pain management. Planners and presenters—many whom are regionally and nationally prominent—represent a spectrum of disciplines, including healthcare providers and educators. Dr. Tobi Jeurink, DC, KCA board member, will be a presenter at the seminar.

Even though some of the seminar information—specifically the content regarding prescription of pain medication—may not pertain to the Chiropractic profession, DCs, especially those in South Central Kansas, are encouraged to attend this seminar because it is an excellent opportunity to help build inter-professional relationships with other physicians.

This seminar is being offered at a special rate of $75 for DCs—be sure to register in the category of “Other Health Care Professional” to receive the special pricing. More information is available here, or by contacting Dr. Tobi Jeurink at
