Journal of American Medical Association Study Validates Chiropractic


On April 11, 2017, a study "Association of Spinal Manipulative Therapy with Clinical Benefit and Harm for Acute Low Back Pain," was published in JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association. The question posed in the study was, "Is the use of spinal manipulative therapy in the management of acute (≤6 weeks) low back pain associated with improvements in pain or function?" The study findings of this systematic review and meta-analysis of 26 randomized clinical trials determined spinal manipulative therapy was associated with statistically significant benefits in both pain and function, of on average modest magnitude, at up to 6 weeks.
